Your privacy, explained simply

This page is for young authors. It explains what we keep, who can see your book, and how a grown-up helps look after it.

Your story is yours

The book you write belongs to you. We look after it so you can carry on writing next time.

We keep just a few things

Your first name or nickname, how old you are (roughly), your book title, and the writing, pictures and answers you make.

Please don't tell us extra

You don't need to type your full name, your school, where you live, or your phone number. Leave those out.

Who can see your book

Only you, the grown-up who looks after your book, and anyone they choose to share it with. Other children using Your Book Pro cannot see it.

A grown-up helps

A grown-up says yes to your book, can open it, can share it and can ask us to delete it. We email them so they know what's happening.

The helper robot

When you ask for help with spelling, ideas or feedback, a computer helper reads that part of your book to answer. It can get things wrong, so always check what it says.

No adverts here

We do not use your pages to show you adverts, and we do not record what you click on in the kids' area.

Changing your mind

If you want your book or your writing deleted, ask your grown-up. They can ask us and we will do it.

Something not right?

Tell your grown-up. They can email us at theeditor@yourbook.pro and we will help.
