Privacy & Security Notice

Version: 2026-07-05.r1 · Effective date: 5 July 2026

Your Book Pro is designed to help people turn recordings, notes and drafts into books. That means we may handle private, unpublished and personal material, including recordings, transcripts, manuscript drafts and AI editorial reviews.

We protect your work with secure login, private database rules and private file storage. Other users cannot see your work.

However, Your Book Pro is an AI-powered service. When you ask us to transcribe, edit, review, score, fact-check, format, narrate or otherwise process your book, the relevant content must be sent to our AI and infrastructure providers so the feature can work. This service is not zero-knowledge or end-to-end encrypted.

Private to your account

Other users cannot see your books, recordings, transcripts or drafts.

AI processing explained

AI features require the relevant audio, transcript or manuscript text to be processed by our AI infrastructure and model providers.

Your control

You can request access, export, correction or deletion of your personal data, subject to legal, security and accounting requirements.

Private to your account

Your book projects, recordings, transcripts, AI reviews and manuscript drafts are private to your account. Other users cannot see your work.

We use secure login, private database rules (Row Level Security) and private file storage so that each user can only access their own projects.

How AI processing works

AI transcription, editing, review, scoring, fact-checking, planning, cover-generation, narration and publishing support are central to Your Book Pro.

When you use those features, we send the content needed for that feature to our AI infrastructure provider, Lovable AI Gateway. Lovable AI Gateway may route requests to third-party AI model providers, including Google Gemini, OpenAI and OpenRouter.

Examples:

  • transcription may send the selected audio file or audio chunk;
  • transcript cleanup may send the selected transcript text;
  • chapter editing may send the selected chapter or section;
  • whole-book review may send the full manuscript for that book;
  • cover generation may send book title, subtitle, genre, description and other relevant creative instructions;
  • audiobook or voice features may send manuscript text and, where you choose voice cloning, voice samples.

We do not intentionally send all your books, all your recordings, unrelated projects or other users’ content to AI providers by default. AI requests are designed to be scoped to the book or feature you are using.

Important: AI processing is not zero-knowledge or end-to-end encrypted. If you are not comfortable with a piece of information being processed by third-party AI services, do not upload or record it.

AI training, logging and retention

Your Book Pro does not sell your manuscript, recordings or private book content.

Training and model improvement

Your Book Pro has enabled the available data-use opt-out for its workspace. This means Your Book Pro customer content should not be used by our application infrastructure provider for AI model training.

This does not make the service zero-knowledge or end-to-end encrypted. It also does not prevent the processing needed to provide AI-powered transcription, editing, review, scoring, fact-checking, narration, cover-generation or publishing support.

Your Book Pro still sends the relevant content needed for the feature you choose to our AI infrastructure and model providers.

AI processing logs and operational records

AI requests may generate operational records, such as request status, model used, processing time, token or usage information, cost information, error information and security or abuse-prevention records.

We are working to use the strongest available privacy settings for AI processing, including reduced content logging where available. Unless and until full-content logging settings are verified as disabled, users should assume that AI infrastructure providers may process and retain limited request data for service operation, debugging, security, abuse prevention or legal compliance.

Data processing arrangements

Your Book Pro uses third-party infrastructure and AI service providers to operate the site and provide AI-powered features. Our current provider arrangements are described in this notice.

Some enhanced contractual data-processing arrangements may depend on provider plan level or separate written agreements. If Your Book Pro changes provider plan, infrastructure, payment processing, data-processing arrangements or subprocessors, we will update this notice where required.

Sensitive content

Books, memoirs and life stories may naturally include sensitive personal material, including information about health, family, beliefs, relationships, finances, sexuality, trauma, criminal allegations, children or other people.

Please only upload or record content that you are comfortable asking Your Book Pro and its AI infrastructure providers to process for transcription, editing, review, scoring, fact-checking, narration or publishing support.

Your Book Pro is not designed to be a medical record system, legal evidence vault, therapy record, confidential whistleblowing system, regulated archive or secure diary vault. Do not use it as the only place you store highly sensitive or irreplaceable material.

If your content includes personal data about other people, especially children or sensitive information, you are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis, permission or other right to use and publish that material.

Your privacy rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. You can also object to certain uses of your data, ask us to restrict processing, or withdraw optional consent such as marketing consent.

Manage your data

Download a copy of your data or delete your recordings directly. These actions are available when you are signed in to your account.

Data retention

We keep your active book projects while your account is active. If you delete a project or close your account, we aim to delete or anonymise personal content where possible, subject to legal, security, payment, tax, accounting or dispute-resolution requirements.

Temporary failed uploads may be removed automatically. Support and privacy request records may be kept where needed to show how we handled requests and legal obligations.

International processing

Your Book Pro’s database and stored project data are currently hosted in the EU region, where configured through our application infrastructure.

However, AI processing is different from database storage. When you use AI features, Lovable AI Gateway and third-party AI model providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where this happens, we rely on our providers to use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, such as contractual data-protection terms.

We do not currently promise that all AI processing remains in the UK or EEA.

Payments

We use Stripe for payment processing and subscription billing. We do not currently use third-party advertising networks. If we add third-party analytics, advertising or tracking cookies in future, we will update this notice and, where required, ask for your consent.

Stripe processes payments for Pro subscriptions and may handle your name, email address, billing details, payment method details, transaction history, subscription status, invoice information, tax information where applicable, and fraud and authentication data. Your Book Pro does not store your full card details.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies for login, security and core site functions (for example keeping you signed in). We do not currently run optional advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies may be used for login, authentication, security, fraud prevention, session management and remembering privacy choices.

If optional analytics, marketing, advertising, tracking pixels or non-essential cookies are added later, we will not load them until you have given clear consent. You will be able to accept, reject or manage optional cookies, and rejecting will be as easy as accepting.
