Where this happens in the app
Go to Create → Upload to add episode audio files, or import your show directly from its RSS feed. Everything after that — transcription, themes, chapter plan and editorial work — happens inside the same book.
Connecting your feed doesn't drag your whole archive in. Your Book Pro reads the feed, lists your episodes with their dates and durations, and you choose which ones to bring across. On Plus, each hour of episode audio is transcribed for 250 credits, charged pro rata by length, so a half-hour episode costs half as much; on Pro, episodes come out of your included allowance instead.

How many episodes should you bring?
You almost certainly have more material than you need. A book is not a back catalogue, and uploading two hundred episodes would bury your themes rather than reveal them.
Most podcast books are hiding in ten to fifteen episodes. Start with the ones listeners still email you about, the ones you find yourself referring back to, and any where you explained your central idea properly rather than in passing. If the chapter plan comes back thin, add more.
Thirty episodes is more than most books need.
What that looks like in practice
Say you've talked about starting over three times across four years — once in an interview, once in a solo episode, once answering a listener question. Your Book Pro groups those as a single theme, shows you the timestamps behind it, and proposes it as a chapter with a job to do in the book: the turning point that sets up everything after it.

What about your guests?
If your show features interviews or a co-host, Your Book Pro asks who spoke on each recording before anything is quoted. There's no automatic speaker detection — you name the speakers yourself and record what each contributor has agreed to: direct quotation, paraphrase, or nothing at all. That permission travels with the contributor through the whole workflow, and the readiness check flags anything unresolved before you publish.
Your Book Pro doesn't give legal advice, and clearing permissions remains your responsibility. What it does is make sure you're never quoting someone without having said, on the record, that you can.
